We have endured a unique and challenging environment due to the health risks of COVID-19. There have been many changes in the way we work and interact with others, and some of us have experienced hardships, such as job/business loss, and loss of loved ones. Since July 2021, Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health has advised Ontarians to expect higher number of COVID-19 cases in Fall-Winter 2021. The goal is to vaccinate 90% or more of eligible Ontario residents - that includes family, friends, and neighbours.
Meet online for a presentation and discussion on the topic of How to Talk about Vaccines to Hesitant Friends & Family with Dr. Miceli. Come to listen, share your concerns and challenges as we approach the next stage in the COVID-19 pandemic.
This talk shares information about the decision-making process related to vaccination, the vital role of trust, and practical strategies for how to engage hesitant friends, family and neighbours in conversations that promote informed decision-making about COVID-19 vaccines.
After the presentation, participants are invited to discuss the materials and share their own experiences and challenges with the group. Benefits of participation may include a renewed commitment to caring, reduced pandemic-related frustration, as well as a strategic approach towards these conversations.
This workshop is designed for ALL members of the community, aged 19 years and older.
This event is hosted in English only.
Registration is required. A Zoom invitation will be sent to all registrants.
Fee: $10.00 plus HST (per person)
Proceeds will go to UNICEF's #GIVEAVAX COVID-19 VACCINE FUND.
